  • New stem cell anti-aging skin care line taps into fast-growing trend

There appears to be evidence that the trend for anti-aging skin care products incorporating stem cell technology is growing, following the latest product launch from BioRegenerative Science.

The California-based stem cell theraputics business has launched a three-product skin care cosmeceutical skin care line that includes a Vital Serum, Eye Serum and a Moisturizing Night Cream.

Company founders Dr. Greg Maguire, Paul Franck and Peter Friedman are marketing the new line on the strength of company studies which they say prove that the line demonstrates the ability to ‘reverse the effects of aging on the appearance of the skin.’

    S2RM Technology

At the core of the formulation for the skin care line is BioRegenerative’s Sciences’ patented core S2RM Technology, which incorporates stem cell released molecules from multiple stem cells types into the formulation of each of the three products.

“The molecules comprising the S2RM Technology replace the multitude of molecules that have been lost in the skin due to agin, and even women who use Botox experience a dramatic improvement in their skin, and find that they use Botox less often,” said Debra McCarthy, R.N. and a member of the company’s Scientific Advisory Board.

The company says that following the recent launch of the product line, stocks were sold out within two days, underlining the demand for the technology, which has been coming to the fore over the course of the past year.

    Stem cell formulations are hot!

At a recent presentation on anti-aging skin care given by Mintel market researcher Vivienne Rudd at the in-cosmetics show in Milan, it was stressed how high tech ingredients are coming to the fore in this category.

In particular Rudd highlight stem cell technology, underlining how Swiss ingredients player Mibelle has been one of the pioneers, developing PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica, a cosmetic ingredient based on encapsulated extract of cultured apple stem cells.

The efficacy of this ingredient once incorporated into finished products has been bought to public attention after the media picked up on it, heralding it as one of the biggest advances in anti-aging skin care in recent years.
